July 31, 3011 - Canberra, Australia - A 94-year-old woman struck an attacking kangaroo with a broom and managed to crawl to safety in her house in the Australian Outback before police subdued the animal with pepper spray. Full Report
July 29, 3011 - NY - Wild boar are invading the farms of central New York state, attacking livestock, killing family pets, chasing people and posing "devastating consequences" for the area. Full Report
July 30, 2011 - Colorado - The Colorado Division of Parks and Wildlife warns Southern Colorado residents that hungry bears are causing problems in the region. A Wetmore rancher lost a llama this week — the third animal lost to bear attacks on the ranch this summer. On July 15, a bear bit the leg of a teenager camping near Leadville. Full Report

July 26, 2011 - France - There have been 66 confirmed wolf attacks in France this year. The wolf, pursuing its lightning reconquest of France, has reached the Vosges Mountains on the Alsace-Lorraine border for the first time in 80 years. Full report

July 20, 2011 - Ocracoke, NC — Authorities say a 5-year-old North Carolina girl who was on vacation with her family was attacked by a shark in Ocracoke, North Carolina shortly after 5 p.m. Tuesday evening. Full Report
July 19, 2011 - Siliguri, India - A leopard strayed into a village near Siliguri in West Bengal's Darjeeling district on Tuesday and severely injured several policemen and forest guards when they tried to tranquilise it. Five villagers were also injured. Full Report
